Woll Tract Park Bids

The Supervisors discussed the bids received for the Woll Tract Park. Mr. Czajkowski provided various documents for their review. The Supervisors agreed that the cost of the project needs to be reduced. Dr. Ciervo advised that he has concerns with regards to the Rt. 413 entry and safety. The Supervisors discussed the cost to the Township if the project is rebid and agreed to have negotiation discussions with KC Construction. They discussed reducing the cost of the project to approximately $ 2.6 Million. Suggestions on how to reduce the cost included:

  • Remove site amenities (benches, trash receptacles, bleachers, bike racks)
  • Remove two (2) drinking fountains
  • Remove conduit to fields and pole bases
  • Remove imprinted concrete
  • Remove recreational surface
  • Reduce trees and shrubs

Ms. Dotts advised that she would recalculate the bid information to show the suggested cost reductions and that she would meet with Mr. Minnucci from KC Construction.

The Supervisors discussed the possibility of approving the Woll Tract Park bid at the meeting on December 17, 2009.
