Newtown Township Environmental Advisory Council
The Newtown Township Environmental Advisory Council was created on July 28, 2004 to “identify environmental problems and recommend plans and programs to the Board of Supervisors for the promotion and conservation of natural resources and for the protection and improvement of the quality of the environment within Newtown Township, consistent with the Township Comprehensive Plan.”
Mr. Jay McGuigan
Jay McGuigan RN, BSN, MBA has been a resident of Newtown Township for more than 15 years. He chose Newtown as the place to raise a family with his wife Sandy, given the beauty and strong community Newtown offers. McGuigan has been actively involved in community issues, particularly those involving environmental concerns, given his desire to have son Brendan 11, and daughter Tara 6, appreciate Newtown the same way when their time to raise a family comes. In his professional life, McGuigan is a Registered Nurse and a founding partner and VP of Health Care Services at Life Choice Hospice.
Dennis C. Annarelli, PhD
Dr. Annarelli has over 30 years of experience carrying out and managing research and development
projects for new product development in fast paced technology driven companies in the biopharmaceutical,
microelectronics, automotive and chemical industries. Dr. Annarelli has also developed considerable
expertise in product and project management, and he has published in the field of portfolio management
for new product development. Dr. Annarelli holds a PhD in Chemistry from MIT, where he concentrated in
synthetic organometallic chemistry. Dr. Annarelli earned his BSc in Chemistry, with honors, from
St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. He has 4 US Patents/Patents Pending and numerous scientific
publications. Dr. Annarelli has lived with his wife, Nancy, in Newtown for over 31 years, and they
have 3 grown children.
