Summary Review of Department Presentations

In the absence of Manager Pellegrino, Finance Director Gibbs reported that reviews of reports from each of the Department Heads who have made presentations to the Financial Planning Commission have been on-going.  Ms. Gibbs stated that the major financial need in 2003 would be building expansion.  Discussion followed.

A general discussion ensued regarding the 2003 Budget development process.  Current millage, anticipated expenses relating to salary, utility costs, debt service and present and potential sources of revenue were topics of discussion, which have been reviewed in past meetings, as well.

Anticipated expenses which might be incurred as the work continues on the Sycamore Street corridor and the funds promised by PaDOT will require attention when the work which is planned for 2003 begins at a future time.

Ms. Gibbs stated that the two student interns who have been at the Township for the summer season will have completed their time at the close of the week.   They have been exemplary young women with a strong municipal and financial background and will be encouraged to return to the Township.

Linton Hill Road Project

Replacement of the Linton Hill Road culvert is nearing completion, and when installation of the guard rails is finished and re-surfacing complete,  the road will re-open.
