Minutes of  03-13-01: Joe Mejerski moved to approve the minutes, which was seconded by Bob Larason. the Motion carried.


The Sycamore Street Committee met on Tuesday, March 13, 2001,  in the Newtown Township Municipal Building at 8:00 P.M.  In attendance were Chairman Vince Lombardi, Supervisor, Tom Jirele, Supervisor, Frank Mendicino members Rodger Taylor, Jerry De Young, Joe Merjeski, Frank Tyrol, David Burns, Bob Larason, and Cathy Fink. 

Also in attendance was Supervisor, Skip Goodnoe, Warren Gormley, and residents Mr. Kurtz and Mrs. Gardner.

MINUTES OF 02-13-01:

Joe Mejerski moved to approve the minutes, the motion was seconded by David Burns.  The motion carried.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:  

Vince Lombardi requested the board discuss and approve that the Sycamore Street Committee appoint an assistant or vice-chairman.  Joe Merjeski brought forth a motion to nominate Frank Tyrol to this position.  The motion was seconded by Jerry De Young.  The motion was approved by acclamation.

SUBCOMMITTEE AND LIAISON REPORTS:

a.      Traffic & Safety - none

b.     Planning Commission - none

c.     Grants - none

d.     Community Relations - none

CORRESPONDENCE:

The committee examined the minutes of the Scoping Field View Meeting.

OLD BUSINESS:

Warren Gormley , General Manager of Newtown Sewer Authority met with the committe to discuss the plans for this utility.  They are as follows: 1)  The contract for work on Sycamore Street has been awarded to Anrich.  2)  Work will begin the end of April or beginning of May, 2001.  3)  Work will begin at 8PM and end at 5AM.  4)  The job will take one month to complete.

A motion to adjourn was brought forth by Joe Merjeski and seconded by Tom Jirele.  With no objections, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 PM.
