Minutes of 6-12-01: Mr. Merjeski moved to approve the minutes, the motion was seconded by Mr. Burns. Passed unanimously
The Sycamore Street Committee met on Tuesday, June 12, 2001, in the Newtown Township Municipal Building at 8:00 p.m. In attendance were Chairman Vince Lombardi, Vice Chairman Frank Tyrol, Members Joe Merjeski, Jerry De Young, Roger M. Taylor and Cathy Fink. Jeffrey L’Amoreaux, Township Engineer was also in attendance.
CALL TO ORDER:
The
meeting was called to order at 8:05 p.m.
MINUTES OF 4-10-01:
Joe Merjeski moved to approve the minutes of 4/10/01 with three
corrections. Under list of
attendants Frank Tyrol is the Vice Chairman not Joe Merjeski. Under
Subcommittee and Liaison Reports, Frank Tyrol asked Mr. Lombardi if the notices
were sent to the residents and business owners on Sycamore Street regarding the
construction phases scheduled. Under
General Discussion – Signs advising that the road will be open at night during
the construction phase. Jerry De Young seconded the motion. The motion carried.

CORRESPONDENCE:
Review of correspondence from McMahon re: Addendum
#3. This addendum is to request
supplemental fees to the original contract to include additional survey work
requested by PECO Energy Gas. The scope
of the additional work as well as the fee are as follows:

Fee for additional service -
$5,460.00
A motion to approve request
was made by Vince Lombardi, which was seconded by Joe Merjeski. The motion carried.
Review of correspondence from McMahon re: Addendum #4. This addendum is to request supplemental
fees to the original contract to include additional work as mandated by PennDot
at the Step 9-field view meeting on February 13, 2001. The scope of the additional work as well as
the fee are as follows:
Traffic signal design –
Sycamore Street and Durham Road
Fee for additional service -
$7,300.00
A motion to approve request was made by Frank Tyrol, which was seconded by Jerry DeYoung. The motion carried.

moved from the trail area. Paving will
start in June.

DISCUSSION:
Members discussed keeping a running list of damages due to the Sycamore Street Construction. Joe Merjeski volunteered to keep this list. Jerry De Young brought up the idea of taking a video of pre-construction site. Will discuss with contractors.

adjourn was brought forth by Frank Tyrol and seconded by Joe Merjeski. With no objections, the meeting was
adjourned at 9:25 p.m.
