July 2007 - N.E.S.D was part of First Fourth Celebration on July 7th at the Newtown Middle School. Fire Prevention information and handouts were given to area residents about fire escape plans, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and more. We also gave out coloring books, pencils and magnets with prevention reminders. On display was the TALKING DETECTOR, the new technology in early warning detectors. Also featured was an apparatus display. The event was followed by fireworks.
