July 17, 2008 - N.E.S.D. was dispatched with Station 45 to a reported vehicle accident with entrapment. While enroute, dispatch advised units the accident involved a school bus with passengers and a car with one entrapped. Chief 45 arrived and directed crews to go into service on the passenger vehicle in the field. Engine 55-1 assisted Rescue 45 and provided patient care and assessments of the passengers on the bus. There were no injuries on the bus.The patient from the passenger vehicle was extricated from the car and was taken to St. Mary's Hospitial. Assisting on the call was Penndel-Middletown Rescue Squad (M167), Middletown Township Police (44PD) Newtown Township Police (52PD) and fire police from surrounding areas.Time in service approximately 1hour.
