In addition to our regular duties, the Newtown Township Police Department offers a variety services to our residents. Please review this information to discover what these services are and how they may be of value to you.   • Home Safety & Crime Prevention Inspections: Making your home a safe and secure place is extremely important. Our officers can assist you by coming to your home and providing advice for safeguarding your home, family, and valuables
  • Fingerprinting Services: Fingerprinting Services will be provided to Newtown Township residents for a fee of $25.00. Fingerprinting will be done for employment and licensing purposes. Please contact Dan Hibbs (215) 968-2800 x220 to schedule an appointment.
  • Speeches & Tours: Speeches & Tours can be presented to your organization on a number of Police related topics.
  • Vacation Home Checks: The Newtown Township Police Department has for a number of years provided this service to residents and property owners in which a police officer pays extra attention [during routine patrol] during the absence of the resident. This service can be provided by simply calling the Police Business Office at (215) 579-1000 x398 prior to the departure date and providing the dispatcher with the required information. Our personnel will ask:
    • Name
    • Address of property
    • Date you are leaving & when you plan on returning
    • Emergency contact information & phone number
    • Is the property alarmed
    • Will anyone else be on the property, checking on pets?
  • Literature and Forms: The Newtown Township Police Department offers a wide range of literature and brochures available to Township residents. Literature offered include: Traffic Safety, Child Safety, Local Hotlines, and more.
  • Block Parties and Traffic Safety Requests: Block Parties are a tradition in some Newtown Township neighborhoods, and upon request, the Newtown Township Police Department can assist you in making arrangements for the closing of roadways so the parties can occur safely.
